Attorneys from FirstEnergy are working with Community Legal Aid to provide free wills and other estate documents to the community at a legal clinic on Nov. 14 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at FirstEnergy’s Akron headquarters, 76 S. Main St.
In honor of Veterans’ Day, the Wills Clinic will provide both veterans and nonveterans the opportunity to meet with an attorney and obtain legal advice and assistance with the preparation of wills and other needed estate planning documents. Attorneys will assist those who qualify and reside in the western counties served by Community Legal Aid: Summit, Portage, Stark, Medina and Wayne.
Preregistration and prequalification for the service is required. To register and apply, call 800-998-9454 or go to www.communitylegalaid.org/apply. Limited spots are available.
The clinic is part of FirstEnergy’s Empowering Pro Bono Initiative, during which the electric company is giving back to its communities by providing professional legal services to the public at no charge.
